Another previous cannon

This was a bigger one I made years ago. The wood wheels were mesquite, the barrel about 28 inches. The furniture was all hand forged (except the hitch ball welded to the breech end of the barrel). I used hex head bolts and screws, but burnt the plating off of them in the forge and then forged the heads to almost square but not quite, to make them LOOK hand made.

Mesquite was made to look hand carved using a rotary file in a die grinder, then Watco oil finish....Joe
